Its in new version in Github. Its not stable yet.

What happens if this is used to a WP site with 10.000+ members ? Doesn’t slow down the site or put stress to the server ?

Its upon owner to decide. Of course this may create some issue for users on shared hosting. So its completely depend upon owner, if they want this or not. If not then simply disable.
