I would like to design a site with the “Ask a question then offer an answer” setup but is it possible on this template to post information without a question being posted first? IE can a user register and post information without actually having to ‘reply to a question / comment’?

it does…So they cant just post a comment, it has to be a question? what is the difference between the 2 though…?

Well, the idea of AnsPress is a Q and A platform. So in this instance, a user posts a question, and someone else posts an answer. However, you can with some small modifications make the plugin behave as a discussion platform as I do.
In this instance, a question becomes a discussion and an answer becomes a response.
Thanks so much for the answer. Could you please share how this modification can be made? Saves me from trying to fisgure it out (I am a front end designer, not a hardcore backend coder).
