Remove the /question/ from the question url

Is it possible to get rid of the question from the url

So the url becomes /base_page/title-of-question

instead of

/base_page/question/title-of-question

Basically transform the permalink to base_page/%post_name%

Or will there be a downside to this?

The “base_page” is to be avoided in a Question, disabling it in “Base page slug before question permalink”.

But the “question” (or whatever you set it to) can’t be avoided.
