How to switch “Sort by” options from a drop-down menu to a horizontal menu?

How can we switch the “Sort by” options from a drop-down menu to a horizontal menu (as shown in the attached screenshot)? Saw that someone else had previously asked this same question and tried the answer that you had given them, but it didn’t work. Help?

Please follow below steps.

Create a new folder in you active theme or child theme called anspress.

Then download this file list-head.php and place inside newly created directory:
