Disable TinyMCE Advanced for users
Out of curiosity, if we’re using TinyMCE Advanced https://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/ would anyone know the code to disable the TinyMCE Advanced Editor on AnsPress Q & A?
https://prnt.sc/jtwvcm
I’ll probably find the code to do this eventually 😉
…….and, honestly speaking, we probably shouldn’t be using the Advanced TinyMCE plugin in the first place – so we might just completely delete it entirely. But, I was just wondering if anyone else using the Advanced TinyMCE had done this before & had the snippet handy.
Thanks!
Its look like this plugin does not provide any hook to filter tinymce arg. Also default tinymce args 'menubar' => false
is not working as well. Kindly consult with plugin author.
Hello Bradley,
How are you? seen you after a long time. I have never tried it. Completely agree with you that advance TinyMCE should not be used in frontend.
Let me try what hacks can be added to prevent Advance tinymce in frontend forms of AP.
What is the status of this? Our users are not very technical and dont understand the HTML tags like LI, UL, CODE etc. It gives a general bad user experience for regular people.
