This is after the updates. So I went into the tools to recount, and it did. But still, new questions with answers, still list 0 answers.

Question is closed for new answers.

Ok I have just reproduced this error, here is how you can do it:

Fresh install of WordPress (I am using the Astra Theme but the same problem with other themes)
Install Anspress
Post a question in an incognito window then close the window
Go on the back end of WordPress to answer the question (you must answer in the backend) and you will see the answer counter is still at 0 when it should have increased to 1

Ok so I spent some time on this issue and what I am seeing is if I respond on the front end, the answer counter increases. If I respond on the backend, it doesn’t increase.

@wpcrafter – are you using Cloudflare ? If so, you might want to clear that cache as well – also check to ensure the Rocket Loader isn’t running as this also causes issues with jQuery.

I do but all caching is disabled, only use it for the firewall. Also it was always working fine until I updated to 4.1.4
