Lightbox (etc) pop-up in Anspress
I have asked before a few months and got no reply.
Right now the Q & A attachment (inline) images open (when the link is selected) in a new full size window of WordPress.
Trying to make that open in a lightbox pop-up, i can’t make it to work with Anspress (it would be perfect).
What is needed to work is to Link images to Media file. It is very simple.
Can that be done in Anspress ? Rahul ?

Most plugins use rel=”lightbox” added to the “a” with image url, but they are doing so by looking for image attachment with a link to that media file in the post content, and then adding rel.
@priad, i don’t know for what plugins you talk about, the most popular ones don’t require ANY special changes or treatment of the images. Just images to be linked to Media File (and not to NONE).
Foobox Image Lightbox (80.000 installations) is an other example.
@cagliostro, You misunderstood me, I Was explaining how that kind of plugin works. It’s looking for images with links to media file, and then adds rel, for js script to look for it. That’s how plugin knows what files must be open in lightbox popup. @rahularyan, need to take a look into code of some lightbox plugin, and look how exactly it’s working, then modify anspress attachment section to work with it.
@priad, i have no idea how technically this works. probably as you say. All i know is that no code change is needed with most such plugins.
You install it and it just works. If Anspress could somehow support this, it would be great.

BUT ALL such plugins require the very same. I must say that my blog post work great with pop-ups. In Anspress not.
