I found a reference to ap_current_user_ignore. Will this allow me to not show the status update “Changed status to published” as shown here?
If so, how do I enable this? If not, can you provide a solution?
Any help will be appreciated!

Hello,
That will be tough to ignore that activity at the moment. Though I will add a filter to in upcoming version to let that activity disabled.
