How to Use Anspress for Specific Posts?

Hi,

I am trying to implement your Anspress plugin as a method of having a question and answer section on each post I publish to WordPress. For instance, I have a written review of a product (not my own) and want readers to have the ability to ask and answer questions about only that specific post, and I want to be able to implement that across many posts, but only referring to that specific post. Would there be a way to do that?

Thanks.

Ian

Hello,

You just have to set post_parent of question to current post while asking using a hidden field. Please check our FAQ for adding a hidden field to ask form.

I have the same issue and I too would like to have individual Q&A’s boxes independent within each post.  I have gone through the entire FAQ and am having much trouble with finding how to create a “post_parent” and where to place this.  Is post_parent a PHP code I need to address in Plug-In editor or a CSS line of text?
Any guidance or a quick step-by-step would GREATLY help.

Thank you!!!

Hello again,

I’ve still been looking into this issue and it seems like it is possible to have separate question-and-answer forums throughout by using your “post discussion” widget on Github. I downloaded that and saved it as a PHP file on Notepad, and then put it in the “Anspress-question-answer/widgets/post_discussion.php” file on my server, but in my appearance tag, it doesn’t show up as an option. I’ve cleared my cache and restarted and everything, but still not sure what to do.

Suggestions? Please be thorough if you can, thanks,

Ian
