How to launch it to work? Which pages needed? Please, help.

Hi there, I’m totally confused… AnsPress is running, I have a base page with [anspress] code. If I create a question in Dashboard, it is shown at this base page.

I have a menu with AnsPress pages. But when I press Ask Question button, it shows me an empty page (I have a page for ask slug created), this page has no [anspress] code in it (and even if I add it, no results). And for all other pages that are not created, it, of course cannot find a page.

So the basic question is – how do I set up all other pages, do I need to insert any codes there?

I run a EN/RU site via Polylang, but for now doing it only for EN. So, the links go like site.com/en/quesitons. Does it influence somehow??

Hi,
For setting up AnsPress, all you need is setting a base page. If ask page is blank then there must be some issue. Please show me error log.

The base page DOES show very well, but all other pages do not. For example, I cannot create a question. So, if I have “ask” page – then it’s simply empty. If I don’t have it, then I have an error that the page is not found.

My “ask” page doesn’t have [anspress] code in it. Should it? Anyways, I tried both variants, no luck.

All slugs are set well, for ask page and for the base page.

All other question “pages” (apart from the base page) are created with the menu of WP.

I have added the menu, and I see it: with questions, ask, activity, users, etc. But it doesn’t work. So no difference if I press Ask in the menu or Ask question button – nothing happens.

What “it doesn’t work means” ? Enable debug to a log file and see for any errors ?

I have to go now. (( Will check logs. Could you, maybe, have a look at it for now: http://luckbox.pro/en/questions/ Maybe you’ll have an idea what can be wrong?

I see. Issue is due to translation plugin (whatever plugin you are using for multiple languages). Ask link should be http://luckbox.pro/questions/ask/ but in your site its pointing to http://luckbox.pro/en/ask/ hence its not pointing to AnsPress base page.

Rahul, are you planning to add proper Polylang support in future? This would be very cool.

In Polylang settings I’ve set

URL modifications

The language is set from content

Now it works, but only for 1 language. Another drawback is that standard comments stopped switching interfaces for different languages.

I will try to make AnsPress compatible with multilang plugin when I get some time. Thanks
