How to get pro in version 4.0

The option to turn on Notification for ‘user notifications’ allows me to turn it on as indicated by the green toggle, but seems a normal user is not gettting email notifications. I presume because it’s a pro feature?? , but how do i get pro feature to enable it? I can’t see a link for that anywhere??  Is it supposed to send emails to non-admin users when their questions get answered anyway ?? Your advice needed.

You know what I think the issue is, … is that I need the exact implementation documentation of who get’s notified by email and when. For example, I’ve realised from testing that :

(a) A person who posts a question does not automatically get notified by email of answers until they subscribe (to their own question)

(b) Even if person in (a) above is subscribed, they don’t receive notifications of comments UNTIL they themselves have also made a comment – i.e. only people who have commented will get comment email notifications.

(c) even if a person has subscribed to a question AND commented on the question, they do not receive email notification of any comments on any answers UNLESS they have commented on a particular answer themselves.

Would you be so kind as to document out how you have coded it up so we can know exactly who will get notified be email and when they will get notified by email (and under what extra circumstances or conditions if any)

I need to take this information back to my client so we can determine if this is suitable – Plus i’m sure making this information readily available will help other user’s of your plugin also !

In my testing, Admins are getting email when that options is turned on, but my test user is not getting email when a different person answers his question. It’s frustrating me wondering why it’s not working.  My version installed label is 4.0.0  Should I also install the previously separated email plugin, though i thought it should word as included in the version 4.0.0?  Can’t easily tell why the email back to a normal user is not working??

Hello,

That is just a label to indicate that its a Pro like feature. Notification doe not send email, it shows users notification in header. Email addon is responsible for sending emails. You can adjust email options in AnsPress->options->email. This addon will notify both admins and users.

How would you go about enabling this add on for a theme that isn’t AskBug ?

There is nothing to do with AskBug here. AskBug is just a theme but all addons are coming from AnsPress. So, it will work if AskBug installed or not.

Great, but there’s no documentation from what i can see. For example, if i enable this add on, notifications seem to be displayed in the menu, but no widget appears in the header, and there doesn’t seem to be any way off enabling this. Additionally, the notifications insist i have 4 unread notifications when in fact there are none ?
