Drop downs hidden in X-Theme

I am using X-Theme and have noted a number of problems with the display of the site.

I foolishly purchased one of your themes thinking that it would solve the problem but of course, only if I swap over to it, which is not happening.

Problems are:

a) Popup hint on Comment, Status and (…)edit question button, appears over the link so the options can’t be accessed. When they do popup by changing the CSS, they are hidden under the box they are in.

b) Category filter dropdown hides the categories as per above.

What can be done?
