Any way to lock a category so that only Mods/Admins can post there?

We would love to have a category where only Mods or Admins could post to. Our main use would be to have something like a “Known Issues” area where people could still subscribe and comment but it wouldn’t be muddied up by everyone posting something there.

As a followup: We solved this by just using some JS to manually remove the category from the dropdown on the Ask page. Not the best solution, but it works.

Sounds like you want roles? I’ll need this too at some point.

Something like a ‘Moderator’ and only that person can post to the category, everyone else can only participate.
