Why does shortcode shows up as 404 in user page?

I think this error is making individual user pages show up as 404s as well. Clicking on a user’s reputation all returns a 404.
I am new to wordpress, so perhaps the issue isn’t in anspress and is something else, so any insight would be helpful 🙂

It’s likely that the 404 errors on individual user pages and reputation pages are caused by an issue with WordPress permalinks, missing AnsPress page assignments, or a theme/plugin conflict. AnsPress depends on custom rewrite rules, so when these break, user-related pages often stop loading correctly. The first thing to try is resetting permalinks by going to Settings → Permalinks and clicking Save Changes without modifying anything—this forces WordPress to rebuild its routing structure. You should also check AnsPress → Options → General → Pages to make sure all required AnsPress pages (User, Profile, Reputation, Submit Question, etc.) are properly assigned. If those are correct, temporarily disable SEO, membership, or caching plugins to identify any conflicts, and ensure your theme isn’t overriding author or profile templates in a way that breaks AnsPress routing.      EZPassMA login

This looks like a permalink/rewrite issue—try re‑saving permalinks in WordPress settings and ensure AnsPress pages are published correctly. EZPassFL login

I can definitely relate to the frustration of dealing with 404 errors, especially when you’re starting with WordPress. It’s easy to feel lost! If you’re looking for a seamless platform to showcase user profiles, I recommend trying out the Suika Game platform. It’s user-friendly and makes managing profiles so much easier. Hopefully, that helps steer you in a better direction!

Since you’re new to WordPress, this is a very common issue. The AnsPress plugin likely registers new custom URLs for user profiles and reputation views that your WordPress installation isn’t correctly routing. The solution usually involves going to your WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Permalinks and simply clicking ‘Save Changes’ (even if you don’t change anything) to flush the rewrite rules. If that doesn’t work, you may need to ensure your .htaccess file hctra has the correct standard WordPress rewrite rules or check the specific permalink settings within the AnsPress plugin itself.
