I’m really excited about AnsPress and all of its features, but I have no idea (and have had trouble finding help on) how to make the “Questions list” page my main/home page. I have installed the plugin and it appears on my dashboard, and right now my WordPress has 0 pages.

Why this “But do not set AnsPress base page as home page” ?
It could be interesting to use Anspress base page as home page, to not duplicate my “Questions” page.

Because AnsPress permalink will not broken in home page as WP codex says. This does not mean there is duplicate page, both page will render same thing. That’s a known issue in WP.
