From what I’ve read, AnsPress used to have a mentioning feature. This is key for engagement – will it be coming back ?

Yes, of course it will be back. That functionality was removed due to security issue.

When BuddyPress is enabled, it would be also nice to just be able to use BP mention system. 😉
