3.0.1 upgrade broke my AnsPress

I just upgraded my WordPress AnsPress to version 3.0.1 and now when I try to visit the ‘Forum’ on our site, the page just says “Shop Owners, [anspress]”. (Shop Owners is the name of the forum)

What do I need to do to get AnsPress working again?

In our WP Plugins page, there is a note at the top that says, “Category extension require AnsPress 3.0.0 or above. Download from Github http://github.com/anspress/anspress“. This doesn’t make sense, because it was my upgrading of AnsPress to 3.0.1 that caused this issue and I can see right below this message that the currently installed AnsPress IS version 3.0.1.

Please help. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response.

I had already updated Category extension. It turns out it was the version of PHP we were running. We had PHP 5.4 and a note in the ‘Feedback’ sidebar stated we needed at least 5.5 to run AnsPress. I updated our PHP to 5.6 and everything came back up.

Thanks!

Hi,

If you can see anspress shortcode then AnsPress is not enabled. Update category extension and then activate AnsPress.
