Question about Subscriptions
I have a question, what should be the result of following users and tags? I mean that do not appear in Subscriptions the questions from users and labels that I follow, just are the questions selected to follow.
I tried with anspress.io and I think the same thing happens to me. I follow and unfollow categories and users and the result of my subscriptions unchanged.
So you only see publications you follow in Subscriptions, is that so?
And what is the sense of following users and tags?
I thought Subscriptions was kind of a timeline of the questions, users and tags you follow.

In both cases they are newly installed wordpress, different, only for these tests. Version 2.4 is installed clean, not upgrade from 1.3.8. The default wordpress theme. No additional plugins. Only 2 users, Id1 and Id2.
The user Id2 follows the user Id1. The user Id2 follows the tag.

Version 2.4 allows follow questions, tags and users, but My Subscription is empty.
And the question, Should My Subscriptions collect all the questions (including those related to users and tags) or just the marked questions to continue?

I am experiencing the same issues with subscriptions and notifications. Not sure what step to take anymore.

OK. I created a test website . I do some tests and I send you access data.
First of all if you have updated to beta, make sure you deactivate and again activate anspress to trigger activation hook, as AnsPress 2.4 have new DB tables..
Before 2.4 user subscriptions are stored in ap_meta table but since 2.4 there are many new tables added like activity, subscription and notification etc..
So, now most of things which need to be notified are stored in a activity table. and users subscription are stored in subscription table. And when a user need to notify about an activity then that activity id is linked with notification table.

I have doubts about how the subscriptions and notifications work. Please, can you help me?

2.4 Anspress
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions not working. I tried to follow questions and tags, but my subscription is empty.
Notifications:
– New answer to a question that you follow: ok
– New question about a tag that you follow: no notification, is it ok?
– New question from a user you follow: no notification, is it ok?
2.3.8 Anspress
Subscriptions:
– Questions you follow: ok.
– Questions about tags you follow: no questions, is that correct?
– Questions from a user you follow: no questions, is that correct?
Notifications:
Same result as version 2.4.
