In Anspress 3.0.0.alpha2, I am getting an error that tells I require PHP Version above 5.5 while my PHP version is above 5.5. There is no such problem in Anspress 2.4.8 in WordPress repo. Please help.

I will check

Did you find something? Does anyone else have this error or is it only me.

On PHP 7.0.6 for me, no errors or anything.

Sorry Rahul Aryan, I reported your comment by mistake. There is also no option to undo this. This feature should be present in Anspress. And did you find some solution regarding my question?
Thanks

@Vansh

Do not use Alpha versions on a production website. Also when you report a problem or a bug of an Alpha or beta version, don’t expect help. Alphas and betas are NOT for that reason.

They serve for testing and bug reporting.

What is your current version of PHP?

@rahularyan I use GoDaddy WordPress hosting. In phpMyAdmin, it says “Server version: 5.5.43-37.2-log”.

Install this

https://wordpress.org/plugins/server-ip-memory-usage/

and activate it. Go to your admin WP dashboard at the footer and let us know what PHP version is reporting.

PHP 5.4.42 @64BitOS. Can you suggest what to do now?

Ok. There are two ways to upgrade your PHP version, depending of our hosting provider.

1. Via .htaccess

2. Via your Control Panel (select PHP version)

I can’t possibly know how your hosting provider do this, so search or ask them. Or try the .htaccess method and see if it works for you. If PHP 7 is available, go for it.

@Cagliostro , Can you please explain the .htaccess method in detail. And if wordpress is updated will the edits in .htaccess file be overwritten? Please help.

This is beyond the scope of this support area. Ask your hosting provider for help. All the info you ask is AVAILABLE on the web. Why don’t you search ?

Ok. Thanks for your precious time. 🙂

Then find a real hosting company. With PHP 7.
