AnsPress Version 3.0.5
Email notification extension Version 2.1
Extension for AnsPress. Add categories in AnsPress Version 3.0.2
Extension for AnsPress. Add tags in AnsPress. Version 3.0.1

My theme is using bootstrap 4.0 alpha I know Anspress uses Bootstrap 3.0 so this my have something to do with it.

Issue can be seen here, you can user testuser1 password testuser1 to test.

Just fixed this with the Advanced WPLink Plugin and the Disable incline link edit option or what it called. Not sure if this is really and wordpress bug as people said in the another question but even if I think anspress should fix this natively.

Also disabling this inline editing means loosing a new wordpres feature.

So it’s been a month since your last post and this is still broken for us. When should we expect an update to address the broken link button?

Hello Jeff,
New patch on its way. Keep tracking GitHub repo.

I think WP site owners should stop auto-updating to the very latest version of WordPress, before testing (on a test subdomain) if all their plugins work. Usually they do not in every MAJOR update (WP 4.4 to WP 4.5 for example).

Updating to the very latest WP and then ask for help because their plugin(s) do not work as expected will no help, it will take sometime until the bugs are discovered and fixed. And who knows if it is a bug of WP or of the plugin.

Personally i have stayed at WP 4.4.4 because of all that problems introduced with 4.5 and 4.6.

You should stop running after updates and work with your site(s). Just a friendly advice. The same goes for people stuck with SEO hype.

Its a incredibly stupid advice to not use the latest version of WP and stay with possibly very insecure software. Thats the very reason WP has auto updates now, to make sites more secure!

So just a friendly advice so everyone reading this: Do now follow that this guy is saying, keep your WP updated and secure!

Also there was plenty of time to look into this or at least put a message into the plugin that its a know bug and that the WPLink Plugin can be used as a temporary fix.

What is done on this site to make it work? Is this plugin used here as well?

It is a stupid advice for someone that doesn’t run a commercial WP site and makes a living out of it.

But it is a valuable information for people that want to build a successful WP site with Anspress and monetize it.

The thing is that you upgrade WP to a new version and you brake your site because of some plugins. You upgrade some plugins and you break your WP site.

Security is a thing not related only to WP but to the hosting setup and your WP site. People should NOT update blindly to WP, if they care for their website. Simple as that.

All-in-all if we run after WP and Plugin updates, we will be all the time in a “beta” status and spend our time debuging and NOT working to promote out site.

Clever people get this early, while others do not and spend their ($$$) time updating and fixing bugs and worrying about seo.
