[anspress shortcode] Programmatically specify categories attribute

Hi, is it possible to get the current category slug from the URL and place it in the anspress shortcode’s categories attribute?

Example,

My current page’s URL is http://abc.com?type=interior-design

In this page’s anspress shortcode, I would like to take “interior-design” and insert into the “categories” attribute. Maybe something like: [anspress categories=%type%]

Is it possible?
