Links abbreviated to give incorrect link
I appreciate your help but it hasn’t answered my problem:
Essentially I am asking how to successfully have a link to an anspress question, within an anspress answer.
For example make a clickable link work in an answer to get to this page _https://anspress.io/questions/question/can-any-anonymous-visitor-up-vote-or-down-vote-qas/
Also do you run Jetpack ?
You must have something that fixes this installed! try posting a link within an answer to this thread… as this site (and mine) don’t have your solution.
ps I don’t use jetpack
No, YOU and http://www.Anspress.io site have something that breakes it. Rahul has said that in his case (this site) it is caused by Jetpack.
In your case, impossible to know.

I don’t want Anspress to abbreviate in the context of an answer. For example if I wanted to link this question and copy the url from my browser as follows:

Yes- so even though the link I wrote was _https://anspress.io/questions/question/links-abbreviated-to-give-incorrect-link/?show_answer=16403 it’s geting abbreviated to: _https://anspress.io/questions/
What is the reason for having such a permalink:
“/questions/question/”
None. Adds nothing and only takes valuable space of the URL. Google doesn’t like long urls so actually you are wasting some SEO.
And not sure what you mean “I don’t want Anspress to abbreviate in the context of an answer”. Removing the “Questions” doesn’t do anything like that.
In any case, that was the problem and the solution was what i posted.
Just Posted a Question to my Anspress site and an Answer with a link to an other Question.
Not a single problem.
