On deleting answer as an admin, my reputation gets -10 rather than the person who answered.

I am facing a problem, when i delete an answer which is not relevant or is obscure, my reputation is reduced by 10 rather than the person who answered. Is this a bug? Or is there a better way to delete a comment without such consequences?
