Setting a responsive image

Hello
This is the image that i have currently on my header when i view my website on a mobile device the image in the header goes away, i have used media query to try and set a responsive header image for mobile but not  i have not succeeded this  is the  image i have currently on a wide display

need help to set a responsive header image for mobile devices
