That’s because you’re not using SEO Framework which the author has specially tailored to work with AskBug/AnsPress.
AskBug 1.6 is available. AskBug 1.6 here keeps wanting to update itself to 1.6 for some reason.
What is your current user role? if it is something other then Participants then you need to add basic AnsPress capabilities to your current user role from wp-admin->AnsPress->options->tools
Its look like AnsPress version is lower then 2.4-RC

You can change your default image but you cant change your default cover image on wordpress admin board, follow this path /wp-content/plugins/anspress/theme/default/images then add your cover images, done!
