I’d really like to do exactly this also. @Rahul could you tell us briefly the current best way please? I’ve seen your (now 3 yr old) gist: Add featured image support in AnsPress question.. not sure if still relevant? If so where to put that code and how to make a form field for it show in the front-end please? I’ve read your post on the new Form and Validation API. I don’t know where to add the code (I’ve read your page on Overriding and customizing AnsPress, but still not clear… which file to override?). In any case, this seems to be adding completely new fields, rather than simply using the standard WP ‘featured image’ field. I’d prefer to use the standard WP ‘featured image’ field as then the image will show easily in other plugins (as OP mentions). Thanks, and thanks again for the amazing plugin!

Hello Emmett, Yeh, there are some complications in this situation. If you use wordpress post export you may miss some post meta which are created by AnsPress. Best way would be Copy the required tables from mysql and import it in your mature site. Yes, I’m available for hire if you need me to do that. Thanks

It does not belong to the code and has different label code. Everytime it say text filed. no upload field displays and the label is also not changing. Can I export my AskBug content onto another blog that is just using the Questions and Answer Plugin?
If that site have AnsPress installed? If so, just export it using default WP export plugins and import it in new site. After that run AnsPress tools in AnsPress to create required post meta. please MAKE SURE TO HAVE A BACKUP FIRST!!!
Any update on the [anspress page=”user”] showing Anonymous? It is still doing this in latest version 4.1.15
