Please check if that page is selected as base page. Try updating AnsPress option once. although anspress shortcode will work everywhere, even in home page. shortcode will not work only if plugin is not active.

Download poedit from http://poedit.net/ (its free). then open anspress/languages/ap.po from poedit now start translating.

No it will not shown in theme list, but your newly created index.php will override default/index.php. AnsPress will give priority to override files in your theme folder. For new theme name to appear in options, you have to create a new folder in wp-contents/plugins/anspress-question-answer/theme/MY_NEW_THEME/

You know in 2.0 you can hide all comments by default: Shot of option, Options->Layout

Also, weird that the comment field STAYS open after I submit my comment I am sure this does not happen with 2.0 For solving the confusion there are already two option in anspress, – Dont allow OP to answer his question (OP can only comment) – Do not allow multiple questions (so once they have answered, they can do comments and editing only) Hope this helps.

Stackoverflow has a very clear separation between ANSWER and the question — I think this is part of the confusion I see here. I feel like I must use the ANSWER field instead of clicking the comment link. Perhaps I can completely remove the ANSWER THIS button from the template and solve the issue that way.
