I think its due to your theme, due to your theme CSS AnsPress description field is hidden. Please check CSS.

Hope your issue solved. This issue is happening due to your theme comment template. I am working on a fix which will prevent theme to override AnsPress comments.

You are using PHP 5.4 and that is a version of 2012. Try to upgrade to 5.6 or 7.

Its already in AnsPress. When you mention someone a notification will be triggered for that user. But currently AnsPress does not show name suggestion.
