Hi again Priard and thanks for your continuated support, I have done as you said, downloaded again the .po file but those strings still are not there to be translated. As you can see in the picture attached, i translated the string %s asked question %s to %s preguntó %s but if in the .po file you look for the string “posted” you will see that posted is not appearing as a standalone string to be translated, so it still appears in english. The same situation happens with “sort” which is not included in the translation file. The word “views” is there to be translated, but it will affect only the stats sidebar widget. Finally, the same happens with the word “ago” in the question page Eloi Smith preguntó el 5 días ago Which makes no sense in spanish, as the correct word should be preguntó “hace 5 días” So pardon me if this is obvious, but following your steps i’m still been unable to translate this words. I suspect that those words are just directly inserted in the .php files so i should need to locate them in the core files of the plugin, thing i haven’t been able to do still. Any help will still be much appreciated, Thanks!
We are been waiting from last one year for this reputation and points system functionally with anspress. Developers got busy after their promise. hopefully it would come out atlist with version 4.0.
Hi Priard! Thanks for your reply. i already did translate all strings in poEdit before asking this question. However, i’m unable to find those words, they don’t seem to be in the .po file, so maybe they are somewhere else? Any help will be great, thanks again!
I experienced the same problem with WordPress 4.6.1 (multi-site) and AnsPress 3.0.7. I tried to delete the plugin via the WordPress admin panel and it kept coming up with an error and wouldn’t delete (perhaps because of the missing tables?!?). So I deleted the folder “anspress-question-answer” from the “plugins” folder in the WordPress installation. I then re-installed AnsPress 3.0.7 and magically the “wp_ap_meta” and four other “wp_ap_” tables appeared in the database. Most importantly, I no longer see a flood of “Table ‘xxx.wp_ap_meta’ doesn’t exist” messages in the debug log! 🙂
Yes, I would like comments always extended / visible to users? I would ask one thing related to the theme. I can not stand the time zone correctly when the theme is translated. Time translation is the second message correctly, and the second is not working, what is wrong here? here’s an example Eg. If I edit this message now, or add a new message. Bring mentioned time becomes wrong. Could you research a bit what is wrong? This time zone goes wrong. Time should be set as follows (the theme translation) “% ago -> Finnish turns to be wrong, it ought to be minutes ago, not minuuttiuutti ago, that is, there are too many uutti. Right text is “minuuttia sitten”. Could you visit my site a look at the WordPress settings or change a translation?
Hello, I can help out. I just found this after updating the translations both for the main plugin and creating a new one for the categories plugin. You can download and replace the updated versions from here: https://mega.nz/#F!1cAH3RrB!QewGpXotTeH3zZuzXu9_eg I didn’t translated all the strings, but all the ones that showed in the front side for me and a bunch of others. Besides that, there were a few strings I couldn’t find: “Sort”, “views” and “ans”. I am not sure if this last one is on purpose for branding matters, but in other languages “1 ans” looks weird and people don’t understand what it means. “1 res” or “1 resp” would be more accurate in Spanish. I add an image marking those strings missing.
