Hi,

I’m having an issue with the user slug, this is currently using the username. However, when using a plugin like the Social Logins plugin, this username is sometimes nonsensical or contains semi-private information such as the users real name.

As a quick fix, I’d really like to be able to switch from using the username to the user ID… e.g.
FROM: http://www.csgohub.gg/BASE_PAGE/user/USER_NAME
TO: http://www.csgohub.gg/BASE_PAGE/user/USER_ID

Is this possible via any hooks or filters? Or can this be added as an option?

In a perfect world we’d be able to allow the users to set their own slug, however I realise this hits a ton of extra work with regards to ensuring it’s unique and the knock on effects of permalinks etc.

Hi there, I’m totally confused… AnsPress is running, I have a base page with [anspress] code. If I create a question in Dashboard, it is shown at this base page.

I have a menu with AnsPress pages. But when I press Ask Question button, it shows me an empty page (I have a page for ask slug created), this page has no [anspress] code in it (and even if I add it, no results). And for all other pages that are not created, it, of course cannot find a page.

So the basic question is – how do I set up all other pages, do I need to insert any codes there?

I run a EN/RU site via Polylang, but for now doing it only for EN. So, the links go like site.com/en/quesitons. Does it influence somehow??

Iframe doesn’t look very good.

I can use the RSS to show up the questions in another site using an RSS reader. But loses a lot of functionality.

Is there another way? I’m sure I read something involving the REST API (but I have next to zero understanding of how this works).

So I want a JavaScript file to be loaded in all Anspress pages but I am not web developer and so I do not know how to do that. Currently that script is loaded through the theme and so in all pages. I do not know what file can I edit to do that. Can someone help me?

The Insert/edit link button does not work. The selected text gets converted into a link but it has a href of _wp_link_placeholder and there is no way to edit that. How to fix that Using the latest Anspress

What social sharing plug ins work best with Anspress? I’m currently looking at options such as AddThis Social Sharing, AddToAny, SumoMe Share. Would appreciate any recommendations.

For example allowing users to go for:

  • Label subscription
  • Category subscription
  • Customised subscriptions (eg. category + label)

And to allow a bit more customisation in the emails that go out? Currently it’s not possible to do line breaks etc.

ps perhaps a version with improved functionality could be a paid for extension.
